Medical Workforce Unit

Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) is dedicated to supporting our Junior Medical Staff (JMS), as well as specific units that our junior doctors work in and rotate through. MWU works in partnership with the Medical Education team to provide support, advice and guidance for all JMS at Western Health.

Areas of support include:

  • JMS recruitment
  • Onboarding and orientation
  • Rosters and rotation preferences
  • Leave applications
  • Leave cover allocations
  • Timesheet and pay issues

 

The MWU team is available 8am-4.30pm on work days, and on-call for unanticipated leave and weekend roster issues from 7am-3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. After hours, please contact the site Afterhours Co-Ordinator as well as your unit for unanticipated leave issues.

MWU works closely with the Medical Education team to provide support, advice and guidance for all JMS at Western Health.
