Dr Chris Roubal, Western Health Emergency Registrar, has been awarded the prestigious Buchanan Prize in 2020.

The prize is awarded to the trainee achieving the highest score in the Fellowship Clinical Examination for the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.

Chris has worked at Western Health as an intern and for several years throughout his training as an emergency registrar.

“Western Health has provided a rich learning environment that I am very grateful for. I owe many thanks to all the ED consultants who have assisted me throughout my training, and for the time they have given to support the registrar group throughout our exam preparation.

I really enjoy being part of the breadth of clinical work, the diversity of the local community, and the fun and committed staff here. It makes for many rewarding and exciting days at work in the ED!”
