Dr Hashrul Rashid, a final-year cardiology Registrar at Western Health, has received the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Trainee of the Year Award for 2020.

Hashrul was nominated by colleagues for the prestigious award which recognises extraordinary contributions to the College, the community and trainee activities, as well as significant leadership, advocacy and contributions to education and training.

He has previously received the Victorian Junior Doctor of the Year (2013) and his research awards include Best Abstracts at TCT Asia Pacific (2016 and 2018) and the Cardiac Society Registrar Research Prize (2019).
